The Gospel is quite clear: both saints and sinners love God. "Religious" people do not love him, and whenever they can, they crucify him.

Liturgy meaning the Eucharistic Liturgy or the entire Rite? And in terms of explanations, do you mean history of development, "rubrics", theology, etc.? I could make some recommendations that haven't yet been made, but it helps to narrow it down.
An explanation of the "rubrics" of the Eucharistic Liturgy would be nice.
