James Moore, father of Fr. Andrew Moore (St. Thomas Church in Springfield, MO) passed away this week. I personally knew Jay, first through Fr. Andrew, and then through Holy Trinity in Kansas City. He was a wonderful, Christian man who, along with his wife, converted to Orthodoxy after their son. His health had been declining for several years, with many ups and downs. I last saw him several months ago and his spirits were up as he and his wife were preparing to receive their family for Christmas.

May his memory be eternal!
