I read this wonderful story and felt touched by its poignancy.  

Aside from Patriarch Teoctist's return visit to Rome last year and the Romanian's Christmas tree gift to the Vatican, I did not realize that the warm relations between the two Churches went deeper.  

And without fanfare!

Thank you  for "discovering" and sharing with us this ecumenical gem.
