I seem to remember that sometimes the celebrant signs the paper confirming the forgiveness of sins before placing it in the coffin.

I would have thought "you" did things a lot like us.

Interesting.

It's usually a really thin strip of paper - called a veenok (wreath)....

I have another question on EO burial practices. Is it customary for everyone to be buried with an Aer as a shroud or is that something done only for priests?
