My wife, 5 children and I will be received into the Holy Orthodox Church on Holy Saturday. Please keep us in your prayers.
I hereby recant of defending "orthodoxy" and trying to persuade fellow Catholics of embracing schism. I adhere to the Catholic Faith as preserved by the Church of Rome and Her Pontiffs.

Many Years to everyone....and Glory be to God!!!!

I love it when people show up with 5 or 9 children.

Is there a first name or something to put on prayer list, or the name of who will be someone's patron saint?  (There's a bunch of us who are #1Sinner, and I'd rather not refer to someone else that way  :) )

I was touched to see an entire family received into the church on Holy Saturday 2006.  When I entered the church, I saw a large tub in the middle of the church.  I had never seen a baptism on Holy Saturday never mind the baptism of adults.  I was moved to tears.   :'(

Congratulations and enjoy the rest of Lent.   :)

Many years!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

I'm guessing the practice of receiving converts isn't uniform and depends on one's background. We are coming from a traditionalist Roman Catholic background. My wife, oldest son and I are being received by confession of faith and anointing on the forehead. My younger children will all be Chrismated.

Congratulations,  many years.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Glory to You, Lord.

He makes all things new (Rev 21:5), including entire families.

Great news. Welcome home!
