What just happened? I have friends who ran that marathon today.

I hope they are ok.

Yeah....that's a rather sad goal to have.

I'm not competitive and was simply shocked and saddened at the awful events unfolding at what is a premier athletic occasion. The coverage here on Sky TV in the UK is extensive and truly awful in the detail of human tragedy and suffering. My heart goes out to all those involved, and I wish the investigative agencies every success in their response to this outrage.

I share your sentiments. May the funeral of Margaret Thacher be without incident, and may the London Marathon be successful.

It was long posted before Maria took her stand or you yours.

Again, it wasn't labeled so provocatively. Maybe everyone missed it. It is how I knew about the situation in the first place.

Really?

Two people die and dozens are injured and you are excited about starting a large thread?

Lord have mercy.

According to today's The Times security officials in London responsible for arrangements around Baroness Thatcher's funeral tomorrow and the London Marathon had a video conference with their American counterparts last night. Both will be going ahead with heightened security arrangements. God willing we will not have added more tragic events than those already heaped upon us. Again my heart goes out to those so grievously affected.
