Anastasia & Timothy
« on: March 23, 2013, 05:52:15 AM »
Please pray also for the handmaiden of the Lord, Anita (Anastasia), ostensibly dying of cancer with great faith and acceptance, that the Lord may grant healing of soul and body. And for her family witnessing her suffering, that they may be comforted and encouraged in faith.

And also pray for the servant of God, Timothy, an agnostic young man with a beautiful, open heart which seems a fertile field for the sowing of the Gospel of the Lord, that the Lord may illumine and protect him, and if possible, draw him to the Church.

Thank you.

Abba Anthony said, "A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him saying, 'You are mad, you are not like us.'"

Lord, have mercy on Anastasia and her family. Grant that her passing from this life into the next be peaceful.
Lord, have mercy on Timothy.

Lord have mercy.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord, have mercy on them both and on her family as well.

Lord, have mercy!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.
—St. Isaac of Syria
