http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-XG_vBLi8k came along this song first in church camp from a friend of the writer who went to school with him, it is a Agni Parthene Melody titled: Our Savior, O Jesus Christ The hymn is being chanted by Dn. Chrysostomos Gilbert, with ison by Dn. Demetrios Kazakis, both who are students at Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. <---- very cool students at this school by the way

Information from the uploader:

The hymn was compiled to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was arranged to the melody that is found in Αγνή Παρθένε (Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride), a hymn which was created by St. Nektarios of Aegina.

The hymn is being chanted by Dn. Chrysostomos Gilbert, with ison by Dn. Demetrios Kazakis, both who are students at Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

-------------------------------------------

In the beginning was the Word, the Wisdom of the Father
O You, Who formed us out of dust, and made us in Your image
From Paradise You cast us out, by Sin of Our Ancestors
From the hands of the Egyptians, did You deliver Israel
You descended like fire, and spoke the Law to Moses
O God of Our Fathers, of Jacob, Isaac, Abraham

Of a Virgin was God brought forth, humbly into a manger
The Word Eternal took on flesh, and dwelt among His people
The Good Shepherd and Light for Men, the Bread of Life Eternal
O Christ, the Savior, the True Vine, help us the withered branches
O Jesus, You who healed the sick, the lepers, blind, and paralyzed
Now cure us of infirmities, of us the ones unworthy

Triumphantly were You received, with palms into Jerusalem
Five days later were You cast out, by Pilate into Gol'gotha
With bitter tears the Mother wept, as You the Lamb were sacrificed
Darkness reigned over all the land, as You did hang upon the Tree
O Jesus, You who bowed Your head, and did give up Your Spirit
You did abolish death by death, and granted Life Eternal

Death did receive an earthly man, and was vexed by Divinity
On the third day did You arise, Forgiveness then dawned from the tomb
O Christ is Risen from the dead, and the demons have fallen down
O Christ is Risen from the dead, and Eve and Adam now rejoice
O Christ is Risen from the dead, and has re-opened Paradise
Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, have mercy on us sinners!
