Its a quite time, at work, due to a snowstorm, so I've been checking YouTube for talks on Orthodox spirituality and discovered a lot of material by Fr. Lazarus. According to what is written on YouTube: "He was an atheist, and now he is Fr. Lazarus ELAnthony, a hermit coming from Australia to live in St. Anthony's Monastery in the deserts of the Red Sea, Egypt."All his talks on located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhGEcwBtVS8&list=PL15BCEB45C28216DEI would be interested in knowing what our Coptic brothers thoughts are on this monk. What I've listened to, I personally, find edifying.

We do not prefer to talk about our saints who are still in the body.
I had the blessing of meeting him: He is not of this world.

That says enough for me. Thank you.

Watch "The Last Anchorite" (it is featured towards the bottom of the playlist in the OP) http://vimeo.com/13459920It features Fr. Lazarus. I have to admit coming across this video a couple years ago definitely fed my initial inquiry into Orthodoxy.

I really think that this series is the finest piece on Orthodoxy on the entire Youtube. Father Lazarus's advice on many things is invaluable. A great personality, in Russia he would be called a staretz (an elder) I guess.

I've watched The Last Anchorite. Fr. Lazarus is a saint.
Thank you for sharing these talks! I will certainly watch them.

I am moved to tears by his videos. Some of the things he says covers some parts of my old life (the life before 2009, when everything changed).
