There are many cycles of 40 days in Orthodoxy. Lent, Advent, days of praying for someone who fell asleep in the Lord, days before baptizing someone born. All have their cycle of prayers as well.

In what context did you discover this term 40 days of prayer? The way you phrase the question is very strange. Might I make a suggestion to you? Have you considered writing more then one sentence in a post in order to better convey your thoughts on a subject? |

I think you begin by asking Jesus,Mary,and a Saint to intervene for you like submitting a prayer request. Then you join in the church's prayer for 40 days. |

By leaving the Internet and attending services. And you thought, how? I think you begin by asking Jesus,Mary,and a Saint to intervene for you like submitting a prayer request. Then you join in the church's prayer for 40 days.
I haven't heard of such thing and would be surprised in anyone here has. Who told you about such thing or did you invented it by myself? You should really start attending services. And dropping that stupid avatar also wouldn't be harmful. |
