Tending Brigid's flame

« on: February 27, 2013, 02:30:27 PM »

My husband is about to have a very tough time until the end of the week. A two-day inspection at work, a medical test of a rather cringeworthy nature tomorrow evening and an interview on Friday that will determine whether his position will become permanent or he will have to get on the jobhunting merry-go-round again. Please pray for favourable outcomes and some peace in our household.

Praying all goes well at work and at the doctors and at home.

Lord, have mercy!

Can't wait for Saturday, when all will be over....

Thanks for everyone who added us to their prayers. The procedure is done (firsthand sources say it was as cringeworthy as it sounded), a biopsy was taken, tomorrow is taken off as sick leave. Unless we hear from the lab, a review appointment is scheduled in 3 months' time. No news will definitely be good news. As for the work meeting... well, if a day of sick leave costs the man his job, he probably wouldn't want to keep working there anyway.

I pray you DON'T hear back from the lab!

Tell him to relax and recuperate, and know that if that job is meant for him, it will still be there.

Lord, have mercy!

Well, the dreaded meeting has taken place, and the dreaded result has come to pass: he will not get a permanent position. At least he still has 4 months to go at the present position and he will receive a good reference, so jobhunting will not be as desperate as it has been on other occasions. Please keep us in your prayers.
