The latest pictures of Beyonce touting her World tour really sicken me. She is dressed up like a Queen, holding a Sceptre and posing regally, like people should bow down to her. She is supposedly a Christian, yet her immodest behaviour and dress-sense is poles apart from the Christian ideal. It saddens me that millions of deluded people will be idolising her and worshipping her. She is so false to herself that her skin gets lighter and lighter with each passing year. The phrase 'Whore of Babylon' comes to mind.
Her beauty must surely pale into insignificance when compared to the true Queen of Heaven.

Wait, we're allowed to say "jackass?" Because this does read like the sort of jackass thing a jackass would right, now that you mention it.

The phrase 'Whore of Babylon' comes to mind. Er, no. Not exactly. Matthew 7 (Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition)1 Judge not, that you may not be judged, 2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 Any why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye? 4 Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

It's not that uncommon for prominent black women to have their skin lightened in some way or another. American standards of beauty are rather strongly Eurocentric, and they're trying to appeal to that. Same principle behind straightening their hair, or, more broadly, using any form of cosmetics. She wants to appeal to what most people think is good-looking. It's part of the job of being a female pop musician, even if it does have quite a few weird and unfortunate implications in this case.

And also, at the risk of ticking off millions of middle-aged, semi-insecure Black women who see Beyonce as the most beautiful woman in the world, her body isn't very attractive and she could exercise a bit more. Nothing personal, I'm just more attracted to my kind's Latina frame.

I really dislike all of the celebrities in popularity now. They're utterly ridiculous. This woman calls herself a Christian. She may not act like one by my prideful standards, but she has the same chance of being saved by Jesus Christ as any of us. Let's hope she becomes more aware of the reality that is our Lord Jesus Christ (as well we hope for the rest of humanity.)

I agree with you. Also many of the "rituals" she passes off as a concert resemble Babylonian ceremonies. Last Superbowl was very evident, but the preceding Superbowl with "madonna" was very Babylonian.

How do you know whether she's aware or not? You of all people really don't need to be looking down on anybody. That's a bit harsh, don't you think?

Also many of the "rituals" she passes off as a concert resemble Babylonian ceremonies. Last Superbowl was very evident, but the preceding Superbowl with "madonna" was very Babylonian.
What Babylonian ceremonies? The Akitu? Tell me more.

Most people in this world are more interesting than Beyonce. In fact, I'd say that 90% of the people in a nursing home at any given time are more exciting when they eat their yogurt than Beyonce is singing.

Well, her and Jay-Z are already freemasons, so does it really surprise you? Both of them are fake.
She cant be a Freemason. Why not? I know Orthodox Christians who are even though they're not supposed to. You never saw the Run This Town video a few years ago that the media went crazy over due to the odd references like "Do What Thou Wilt" or something?

The media are still severely allergic to ol' Mr Crowley.

His lyrics were pretty scary man. I certainly don't think his songs were influenced by the Holy Spirit. His talent came from God, just like Beyonce's (although I think she is actually a very overrated singer), but what they did with their God-given talent is glorifying demons more than the Divine IMO. Of course, there's still time for Beyonce to change her tune. BTW, my wife is from Hazlehurst, Mississippi which is Robert Johnson's birthplace. It's a tiny town. There's a mural and monument to Robert Johnson in the middle of town. He was an incredible guitarist, regardless of what one thinks about his style. And his music was "haunting" in the truest sense of the word. Selam

Pop songs and swishing around in sparkly dresses and big hats glorifies demons? Kind of diminishes the supposed importance of the actual demons, don't you think? Get real. You can see worse than what she's done at a Vegas dance routine. And I mean the boring lounge singers. If you think she's the worst there is, and the demons are all thrilled with her, then you need to get out more. The horrible fact is that so many in this world are duped by the messages and images Beyonce portrays. They ignore the symbolism in her videos (even though they understand). They ignore the messages she has in her lyrics. They still follow God, and embrace her at the same time. They laugh when she makes illuminati triangles... Same with Kayne West, illuminati is just silly... You can warn people all you can, they can see it, but laugh at you. Some may even pass them off as God fearing. Guess he has deceived the nations... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVCN_hokIFALet your children sing along http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym1FRTLNppwMany musicians want to damn your soul and the souls of your children... I just so many weren't blind to this. There is a documentary called "They sold their souls for Rock and Roll" that I suggest everybody watch. It's by "fight the good fight" ministries. It's life changing, quotes the musicians and is not conflated at all.

I don't like Jay-Z because he has no street credibility and doesn't live up to the image he has made for himself at all; he acts as if he were some don who ran the streets of New York back in the day. When, in reality, hardly anyone respected him and no one feared him at all. Tupac came hard at him before his death and Jay never responded, Big Punisher broke a champaign bottle on his head and jammed a Mac-10 on his ribs, and then made several subliminal (and some not so subliminal) disses to him on his music, Jay-Z never responded at all, Eminem murked him on his own song when Jay already knew what his verses were, and he still couldn't match them and to this day never made another song with him, Big-L made him look like an amateur on their 7 minute freestyle, Nas shattered Jay'z street credibility with Ether, and what does Jay do? He gives up and tries to play it all cool, saying "I'm too big for this silly stuff." If all of his competition didn't all die off at the close of the 90s, Jay never would have got as famous as he did. It's no coincidence that Pun dies in 2000, and Jay doesn't call himself the "King of New-York" UNTIL 2001. AFTER the Notorious BIG, Big-L and Big Pun had died.

I'm tired of the Jay Z cameos where he puts no effort in them.
Take that new JT single for example. It's dynamite, but his verse is just terrible.

Ahh yes, the usual spurious ad hominem refrain. Selam Ad hominems are not necessarily spurious. And the above is not an ad hominem anyway. I hope before I die to teach you what an ad hominem is. Indeed. What That person said is not an ad hominem (and Gebre's response only proves it true). Attacking the person rather than what the person says is not ad hominem? No one's attacking Gebre. I guess if it makes a person feel better to say this, but it doesn't change anything.

Satans influence is widespread and powerful. This thread is evidence of this.
Satan enjoy working among christians, because he is dangerously good at what he is doing and too many take the bait. We must say no to him, always and praypraypray.

So what about that Robert Johnson? Was he really satanic?
You mean, did he really meet the devil at the crossroads at midnight and exchange his soul for fabulous guitar technique? Only someone under demonic influence could listen to that garbage. I've a colorful way of describing his "music" but I think the forum rules preclude me from doing so. Furrealzies?! I think you should stick to philosophy and stay clear of critiquing music.

Middle-class white boys like Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, you mean? Yeah, he hardly did anything to influence generations of blues and folk guitar players for many decades to come... Twenty some years ago, I was also one of those white boys learning to play guitar, largely influenced by musical geniuses like RJ and Jimi Hendrix. Johnson's been a huge inspiration of mine. Not junk. Real music with raw soul. If you don't like it, you're not listening right.

No offense, but who actually wears that crap anyway? No one wears designer clothing from a rap label anymore. It's mostly just overpriced and the quality of the clothing doesn't even match the amount of money you pay. In fact, I find it somewhat contradictory when a 'hood rapper has a clothing line. They are supposed to be repping their neighborhood and put off the impression like they care about the less fortunate youth and everything, yet, they have no problem leeching them for the little bit of money they do have by placing their logo on an average quality hoodie sweatshirt at best.

Love how you accuse him of judging and then call him a jackass. Don't you retards pray to not embitter or embarrass others? Typical Christian hypocrites.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

That is kinda rude. People here I find on the whole to be rather atypical.

Why do you listen to that junk?

Why do you listen to that junk? Probably for the same reason my teenage stepdaughter listens to J-/K-pop. No, I don't understand it either.

The horrible fact is that so many in this world are duped by the messages and images Beyonce portrays. They ignore the symbolism in her videos (even though they understand).
You have yet to name which babylonian ceremonies Beyonce is aping.

embitter and embarrass others? you mean like by saying its only criticism..bla bla bla.... to call one man's loyal wife a whore among other names and by simply adding " of Babylon"/ "the beauty of the Queen of Heaven" attempt to pass that repulsive pathology as piety? excuse me, who is embarrassing who again? I assure you if there is any embarrassment or embitterment that is felt by uttering such vulgarity in the Name of God, it is a self inflicted one. then there are the cheerleaders of such vulgarity and pathology in the name of piety, and pious opinions. go on... let not What the Savior said stand in your way, cheer on. how is that for hypocritical? hmm. as to the jackass, in this case refers to the vulgarity and crass behavior not the person-hood of the individual. the vulgar and pompous most importantly unsubstantiated statements against the person of the woman accused are in alignment with Pharisaical jackassery. simple. perhaps it might help to remember that the woman accused of whoredom is equally a person who happens to be an artist who has a family who loves her and is also a mother and a wife. the day you accept your wife being referred to as a whore as a merely criticism and scrutiny like gebre was saying, is the day you should be worried that Christians are calling those that are that vulgar, Pharisaical jackasses. so chill L'chaim!

Why don't you go to church, anymore? I've been sick for a month. Also, I get angry and depressed very easily. I've mentioned other problems on other threads. Don't want to bore you.

Yes! she is a Witch, casting her spell on you, turning your blood into liquid fire! She is a siren, who lures you to madness with the absence of her embrace! She is an enchantress, who unmans you with a sway of her hips she is a chimera you can only have in your dreams. she is a WOMAN her greatest guilt of all! be she beautiful, what else is she but a whore?! But WE are Christians and righteous men...so let us pray for her.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NP-RsRGzVo If by "pray for her" you mean "burn her" I am in. I haven't had a good witch burnin' in a while. well come to my neighborhood, its barbecue time all the time... nobody questions the smoke that comes out of your house... we just don't have time for bronchitis.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udS-OcNtSWo ,..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po3jPq5LT0g
