Oh Achronos how conceited of you.

But really how do you know?

Is there particular behavior associated with it?

Also how do I know if it's not someone who just has a severe case of inferiority complex.

It's sorta important to know.

Envy or Jealousy?  Like envy over stuff of jealous over feelings?

For both I would say often people would be especially mean for no reason.  They'd exploit any weaknesses you have.  They'll minimize your strengths and maximize your weaknesses.   Sarcasm against you etc.

This may be one indicator: they criticze everything you post and accuse you of narcissism when they are the ones that clearly demonstrate a bizarre obsession with every word you type. Expect demonstrative evidence of this dynamic to follow this post.

Wait for it...

Well the thing that YIM touches on, is sort of what I'm getting at.

You hear it all the time from folks, "Oh she/he is mad at you? Well they are just jealous"

How much truth is in that?

It depends.  Did you do anything to anger them?  If so, they are probably not jealous.  If you cannot think of anything that you have done, or if you have even done good to them and they are angry at you, then jealousy is a possibility.  You should also keep in mind that they could just simply be idiots.
