Mmm. He had been through so much. He was old when we found him. His owners were meth addicts and trashed their home before they left after being kicked out, abandoning him in the process. He had three legs, but he was resilient and beautiful, and one of the kindest and most gentle cats I have ever owned. In fact, I will post a picture of him in this post. I tried so hard to give him an easy life and make him feel comfortable, because he was sick from the day we found him. He was never concerned about himself; I know that sounds crazy, but he would get so annoyed with me when I worried about him! The night before he was put to sleep, I was sitting with him and petting him, crying, and he just looked at me and put his paw on my nose...like, "enough of that!" lol.
We had him cremated; his home is now on the endtable in the living room. Our other cat, Noel, has been handling it okay, though she is a tad lonely.
Sometimes I hope that God will allow us to see our pets again. They can make such an impact on our life.
