Sorry to hear that.  BTW, I have a serious question slightly off-topic, but did you encounter EC parishes where they crossed themselves "the Latin way" L to R?

No, but there aren't that many Eastern Catholics in my area.  The Ukrainians cross the "Ukrainian way".  I attended the Chaldean Liturgy once but I forgot how they cross.

What's the "Ukrainian Way"?

Well, to them they do things differently from Roman Catholics because its the Ukrainian way.  There's no concept of a greater Byzantine Tradition and spirituality.  The general belief is that they are Catholics like Roman Catholics, but do things differently because they are Ukrainian.  So crossing yourself the other way is Ukrainian, the "Mass" is different because it is the "Ukrainian Mass", etc.

I think she meant, what does it look like, do they move their hands differently when they make the Cross, right to left shoulder or the other way around? Well, that's what I guessed.

Ah.  So its Byzantine Tradition, even though it is not recognized as such.

How shall I not weep when I think of death? For I have seen my brother in his coffin, without glory or comeliness. What, then, do I expect? And what do I hope for? Only grant me, O Lord, repentance before the end.
