Orthodoxy says it's good to read it, but with guidance from the Church Fathers and other helps.

How can you be Orthodox without church attendance?... Seems like every one of your threads returns to the same point. Unless you're home bound due to a medical condition, find a way to get to Ft. Worth because Internet strangers aren't going to get you to church.

The closest think I can think of as Community Outreach is going about in the area and making an effort to let people know who you are.

Wesley, remember my advice from your other thread. It would be very good for you to contact Fr Basil at St Barbara and see if he can arrange for someone to pick you up for Liturgy. If you do that let me know. I have some friends there and I can make sure that they greet you. Also, be sure to ask Fr Basil about doing confession. That would help you a lot, even if it is a simple confession. Plus, that will allow you to receive the Eucharist again, and that would also be very good for you.

Wesley, here is how you can contact Fr Basil at St Barbara. I really encourage you to send him an email. If you aren't comfortable emailing him yourself, let me know and I can email him for you. He's nice. St. Barbara Mission Orthodox Church in America 5201 Altamesa Blvd. Fort Worth, TX 76132 27 miles 817-294-0325 stbarbarafw@gmail.comsaintbarbarafw.org/

My Car is in the shop following a meeting with an 18 wheeler so I could not travel the 50 miles to our parish that I make as often as I can. On days like this I go to the Greek Archdiocese website and watch and pray with a service that is being broadcast live on their website www.goarch. I wished the Antiochian Archdiocese had a similar ministry but they don't so I use the Greek Orthodox website and despite some language barriers do quite well worshipping the most holy Trinity when I can not get to Church.
