I'm about to break up one of my bands.  I'm just tired, bored, and done with the project and have been for some time.  I struggled with overcoming these feelings but they're just not going away.  It's not any one issue or one person (or any person, really..they're all great).  I just need to move on.  As such, I've got to tell our singer and one of my best friends that it's all coming to an end (it is with all humility and objectivity that I say without me, the band dies) in two months after our final scheduled gig and, while I don't think he'll be angry, he will most certainly be upset, sad, and probably feel a bit abandoned.  I'm letting the axe fall tomorrow and would appreciate some supernatural help to do it and do it well.

Thank you all for your prayers.  The axe fell last night, so to speak.  He took it like I thought, as a punch to the gut, and was reeling a bit, enough to surprise me by his reticence to not fulfill our current commitments.  I didn't argue at the time.  Thankfully, after talking to our drummer and some others, he recovered enough to say that he'd be glad to see me off at our April 12 gig (the last we have scheduled at the moment) and he'd try to carry on.  While I honestly don't think it will last long after my exit, I'm glad he's going to give it a go.
