Family to Divine Liturgy
« on: February 02, 2013, 11:59:35 PM »
Taking my family to Divine Liturgy tomorrow for the 2nd time. I've been a few more times. She was receptive, pray that this continues. I'd really like to see her get on board with this.

First time I took my wife to the Orthodox parish, I thought she would never want to return.  I thought that was the end of it.  Eventually she was willing to give it a second chance and did started liking the parish.  I also made sure I took control of the kids so that she gets to listen to the homily (the priest is excellent) and eventually she turned around and actually was more determined to go there than I did.

So pray that God's will be done.  I will pray for you and your family as well.

My prayers.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
