Yesterday, on the news they "informed" all of us that "Orthodox Christians" follow the Julian calendar and are celebrating Christmas today.  Of course the majority of Orthodox Christians in this city are on the gregorian calendar, but who wants to do research?Huh

Just think if some of the Orthodox church wasnt on the Julian calendar there would be NO news covering the Orthodox church and her activities. Pretty pathetic heh?

If they did research it would be catastrophic, because there is such a long-standing tradition of lazy journalism in North America, and the establishment would be shaken to its very foundation.  Smiley

The media doesn't even represent Christian Doctrine fairly so what hope do we have that they'll ever understand? If I was looking for an accurate channel it would be the history network, not any major 'news' network. We're better off reading the paper.

Besides the majority of Orthodox Christians are celebrating Christmas today.
