I was wondering about what word is used in the Greek, what it's definition is, and what range of words it can be translated as, with regard to beauty/beautiful in these passages...

Quote
"Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness." - Ps. 29:2

"Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is beautiful for the upright." - Ps. 33:1

"O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth." - Ps. 96:9

"Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth." - Ps. 110:3

"Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is beautiful." - Ps. 147:1

Also, is the same word used in all these similar verses, or is there more than one word being used?

From the LXX, with translation of the relevant bolded parts:

Ps 28:2

.. in His holy court. Aὐλῇ means courtyard, yard, etc.

Ps 32:1

... praise is fitting for the upright.

Ps 95:9

Same as Ps 28:2.

Ps 109:3

With You is the beginning in the day of your power in the brightness of your saints; from the womb, before the morning star, I have begotten you.

Ps 146:1

... may our praise be sweet to our God.
