Syrian rebels beheaded a Christian man and fed his body to dogs, according to a nun who says the West is ignoring atrocities committed by Islamic extremists.

The nun said taxi driver Andrei Arbashe, 38, was kidnapped after his brother was heard complaining that fighters against the ruling regime behaved like bandits.

She said his headless corpse was found by the side of the road, surrounded by hungry dogs. He had recently married and was soon to be a father.

That is disgusting.  Everyone [who is Middle Eastern but not Muslim] knew before that this was going to happen.  Just like everyone knew the Egyptian revolution would be a disaster.  It was just naive lefties that dominate the media who were wasting time debating whether the Muslim Brotherhood was actually bad [or actually intentionally supporting them to destroy the traditional Christian perceived hegemony that they so hate], all while the Muslim Brotherhood was consolidating their grip on Egypt (similar for Syria too) in the face of Western indifference [or callousness].

Sadly it's not just Middle Easterners that knew this would happen, but ultimately too few Westerners cared. I remember when some of the proponents of the Occupy Movement actually compared themselves to the "Arab Spring" - in a positive light, no less.

AINA) -- A number of bishops from the al-Hasaka district in eastern Syria have put forward a plea for the survival of 25,000 Christians, including Syriac Orthodox, Syriac Catholics, Chaldeans and Armenians, in this city, within which a number of evacuees have sought refuge from neighboring areas, as reported by the Vatican's Fides news agency on Thursday.

According to the agency, the testimonies cited by the bishops indicate "a number of roadblocks" on the roads, set up by armed groups, especially militiamen from the al-Nasrah Front. Add to that, they said, gangs are deliberately conducting robberies, kidnappings and attacks even within the city.

I pointed this out here months ago but was basically labeled a fanatic of some sort who fatasizes about killing Muslims and lives in a medieval fanasyland on the Internet. Seems some Orthodox still hold thousand yr old grudges while they would let the Mohamdeans run wild in nations where Christinaity was at least "tolerated". But this is a serious issue and I'm sure it's no "fantasy" for those Arab Christians dealing with the reality of radical Islam seizing power while the West not only does nothing but actually supports and subsidizes the "rebels" efforts.
