Barry and Bonnie Hewlett had been studying the Aka and Ngandu people of central Africa for many years before they began to specifically study the groups' sexuality. As they reported in the journal African Study Monographs, the married couple of anthropologists from Washington State University "decided to systematically study sexual behavior after several campfire discussions with married middle-aged Aka men who mentioned in passing that they had sex three or four times during the night. At first [they] thought it was just men telling their stories, but we talked to women and they verified the men's assertions." In turning to a dedicated study of sex practices, the Hewletts formally confirmed that the campfire stories were no mere fish tales. Married Aka and Ngandu men and women consistently reported having sex multiple times in a single night. But in the process of verifying this, the Hewletts also incidentally found that homosexuality and masturbation appeared to be foreign to both groups. I think Paul spoke about this in one of his letters.

Hmm. You would think that there would be more than 30,000 of them. On a related note: Are the men of the African Aka tribe the best fathers in the world?
...Aka fathers are within reach of their infants 47% of the time - that's apparently more than fathers in any other cultural group on the planet, which is why Fathers Direct has decided to dub the Aka "the best dads in the world".... http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2005/jun/15/childrensservices.familyandrelationships...It has been observed that they pick up, cuddle, and play with their babies at least five times as often as fathers in other societies. It is believed that this is due to the strong bond between Aka husband and wife.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aka_peopleexplains that.

OK. Don't know what that means, but OK. You have to be kidding? You must travel in odd circles and have never visited the diet and fitness thread here. From the NYT and properly in the fashion section: The caveman lifestyle, in Mr. Durant’s interpretation, involves eating large quantities of meat and then fasting between meals to approximate the lean times that his distant ancestors faced between hunts. Vegetables and fruit are fine, but he avoids foods like bread that were unavailable before the invention of agriculture. Mr. Durant believes the human body evolved for a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, and his goal is to wean himself off what he sees as many millenniums of bad habits.
These urban cavemen also choose exercise routines focused on sprinting and jumping, to replicate how a prehistoric person might have fled from a mastodon. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/10/fashion/10caveman.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0If you care, you can google around from there, but this gives a nice insight into the class of folks in this stuff. Back to masturbation and homosexuality, I suppose.

I used to only eat wild antelope that I killed myself until the zoo permanently revoked my visitor pass. One time I even dragged my kill into the leopard pen so I could practice defending it against a predator. Then the zoo keepers got in there first with a cattle prod in one hand and a steak in the other. He gave the steak to the leopard who then ignored my antelope. It's a sad day when even leopards will take a hormone filled frankensteak over an organic antelope. Also, fur underpants make poor insulators. FYI.

Such innocence in how they understand sexual intercourse and the reasoning behind it. Plain and simple! No ifs, no buts, no in between, no grey areas...LOVED IT!
