My Friend's Dad Died Last Night
« on: December 11, 2015, 07:13:45 PM »
Around 10 or 11PM last night my friend's dad died. She was extremely close to her dad and is very sad. And she is only my age, so losing a parent that young must really be difficult. Please keep her and the soul of her departed dad in your prayers. I actually knew her dad since 8th grade. He used to volunteer around our school a lot; when we got a bit older like highschool freshman and I had a huge crush on his daughter my friend, he used to drive us around to theme parks like Great America. He taught me the value of maintaining eye contact and giving a firm handshake, always said I was a great kid. I feel very bizarre and somewhat saddened knowing that someone I knew is dead. Thank you.
Until I see the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come, I will not believe.

Lord have mercy.

May his memory be eternal.
The memory of God should be treasured in our hearts like the precious pearl mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Our life's goal should be to nurture and contemplate God always within, and never let it depart, for this steadfastness will drive demons away from us. - Paraphrased from St. Philotheus of Sinai
Writings from the Philokalia: On Prayer of the Heart,
Translated from the Russian by E. Kadloubovksy and G.E.H. Palmer, Faber and Faber, London, Boston, 1992 printing.

Memory eternal!  :'(
The term planet earth is an innovation which has arisen in recent centuries with the error of heliocentrism.

If one wants to confess a pure doctrine of Orthodoxy, they should be careful not to refer to the earth as a planet, unlike the current Pope as well as Patriarch Kirill and Patriarch Bartholomew, who regularly speak in error when they refer to our planet earth.

Sorry for her loss.

Lord, have mercy on Your servants. May his memory be eternal.
But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. (Holy Habakkuk 2:20)

Lord, have mercy.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Lord, have mercy. Memory eternal.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
