Would anyone know these Orthodox terms in Japanese?
« on: December 20, 2014, 09:55:07 PM »
Does anyone speak Japanese? If so, how would you address a priest in Japanese? Would it still be 神父様 (しんぷさま) I think this is the way a Roman Catholic priest is addressed in Japanese. Would would you say Orthodox Christian in Japanese? Would it be 正教会人 or 正教徒 (せいきょうと)?
Lord have mercy.
Glory to Jesus Christ forever.

To call an Orthodox priest is (priest name)-shinpu.
Orthodox Christian in Japanese is Touhoku Seikyoukai.(Eastern Orthodox). it doesn't need to put-人 or -徒 .
May it helps.

Quote
But it had not been in Tess's power - nor is it in anybody's power - to feel the whole truth of golden opinions while it is possible to profit by them. She - and how many more - might have ironically said to God with Saint Augustine, "Thou hast counselled a better course than thou hast permitted."
