Asia needs a lot of prayer.

Although the figure from the BBC says something like 3,200 people in India died, I think the number may be much more than that.  My grandfather called from India saying that, according to a report from an Indian news source (TV) as he heard it, at a famous Roman Catholic Marian shrine on the coast, something like 6,000 people attending post-Christmas services and otherwise milling about on the beach by the shrine were swept away by the sea in one wave.  I usually watch the news very passively, but must admit that the pictures here, and the stories from over there, are very sobering.

Lord, have mercy!

Mor Ephrem is a nice guy.  Just say sorry and it will all be ok. Say I had things that were inside troubling me but I didn't know how to express appropriately. I will not behave that way again but I am seeking help.

...if you feel Mor really is in spiritual danger, pray the Jesus prayer for him.   :police:

oh humble prayers, although if there is one thing that I feel my prayers are utterly dwarfed by, it's the forces of nature :( just the thought of a tsunami terrifies me...all involved in this disaster have my deepest prayers...Lord have mercy!

The numbers are getting worse and worse.  :( and it's affect is world wide.  CNN has a report that this could be the worst disaster in *Swedish* history.  3000 Swedes are still missing in Thailand.  and the thousands of  others: Thais and New Zealanders and Danes and Finns and Australians and Indonesians and...

God in heaven, have mercy.

A friend of mine here in VA had an uncle who was in Sri Lanka doing mission work for the CofE, he got word yesterday from the British Consulate that they had confirmed his death.
