No doubt he would not be able to fulfill Patriarchal responsibilities at this time.  I wonder if he'll even be able to attend His Beatitude's funeral and the Synod meeting, not-with-standing his desire to participate.

I think he would disagree with you. My guess is he would tell you being Patriarch is easier then being the Archbishop of North America.

Also, I believe you will see him present and participating.

Hmm, would Metropolitan Philip be considered a viable candidate an would he accept?
I'm not sure how I would feel about this...

I'd be very happy about it, but I dont think he'd accept.

There's a link earlier in the thread, reply # 32 I think.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9MiNjeXMI4 - last night in Damascus, patriarchal cathedral. That's so beautiful, singing Paschal hymns and candles... To not forget, that Christ is risen!
