Please pray for the Patriarch, as he has had a stroke and is in critical condition at St. George Hospital.

Lord have mercy!

Lord, have mercy!
That is the land of lost content,
  I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
  And cannot come again.

Lord, have mercy!
Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord have mercy on His Beatitude Ignatius IV.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Lord have mercy.

Have Mercy on the people of Syria and the entire middle east that one day peace will be with our christian brothers and sisters hearts.
Remember, never to fear the power of evil more than your trust in the power and love of God.

May his memory be eternal.  He leaves a huge legacy of huge missionary work in the US, as well as eirenic spirit towards dialogue with the OO Church.  His successor has huge shoes to fill.
Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.
