This past Saturday, December 1, was the 9th anniversary of the repose in the Lord of our beloved fellow forumite, John Royce, who posted here as Hypo-Ortho and at ByzCath as Orthodox East. Old-timers here will recollect that John was seated at his computer, reading his beloved forums, when God took him to Himself.
Lord, we thank You for letting us know Your servant, John, a gentle man and gentleman. Trusting in Your Wisdom and Mercy, we pray that he is with You in a place of light and love, where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither grief nor sighing.
We ask also that John's family, particularly his wife, Christine, and their children, be comforted by joyful memories of their times with him in this life and the prayerful expectation of reuniting with him in the hereafter.
May John's memory be eternal.

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth

Johnny I never knew ya, but may you be resting with God in that big forum in the sky!
As a side note, it is a good thing that the Orthodox Church has memorial services and such so that those of us who come later may also pray for the dead even if we never knew them.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.
Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.
