I recently was scammed by an internet loan company when I tried to get funds to assist me in getting up a required deposit on a rental home large enough to accommodate my widowed daughter, her three sons, myself and my wife. The internet company advised ne that I had to put up earnest money to get the sizeable loan which I did twice. (I know I was too trusting and thought they were genuine and truthful) After I put up the funds they kept pressing me to get send more money to get the loan citing poor credit history and promising the transfer of the money within 15 minutes of the receipt of the "earnest money'. When I said"no" and asked for a refund of my "earnest" money they said that I would have it in my account in 7 working days as per their company policymoney. It is now 7 working days and no money (why am I not surprised?)
I have filed a complaint with the local police department, but they did not think there was much they could do as the company is out of state in Florida.
I did get the loan I needed from a family friend and am in the midst of moving into the home with my daughter and grandkids but I still am angry (at myself and the internet loan company) and hurt by the betrayal of my trust. Please pray for me to be able to get rid of the anger and allow me to forgive those who betrayed my trust and to grant me better wisdom in making decisions . Thank you in advance for your prayers.
