Hello,

I'm told that the epistles used to be chanted rather than just read. I think one church in the U.S. occasionally does this.

Does anyone have a link to any recording of the epistles being chanted? I'm just curious what it sounds like. Is there just one tune, or are there different ones?

Thanks!

I don't know about the Epistles but here is a link with the Gospel being chanted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL1S9fRx3a0

In my church and in the major feasts of the Lord, the readers chant the epistles in Coptic.
Here is a link for the Pauline Epistle chanted in Nativity: http://tasbeha.org/media/index.php?st=Hymns%2FMajor_Feasts_of_the_Lord%2FNativity%2FHigher_Institute_of_Coptic_Studies%2F11.Pauline_in_Coptic_-_Pavlos.1815.mp3
