In Orthodox Christianity, is God's love unconditional? Does God love us even when we sin?
In Orthodox Christianity, God's love is unconditional, never end and never change.
In protestant Christianity,God's love DEFINITELY conditional. God can only love men if they love HIM first. Even most of protestant christians always claim that "God love men unconditionally". Some famous pastors, like David pawson even openly denies 'God's love is unconditional', and claim that 'God 's love is conditional'.
If God was not love, what could He be?
In Orthodox Christianity, God is love. God is always love.
TO Protestant Christianity, God is not love. God is part- love , part-righteouness and part-holiness. God is a schizoid. If His righteouness and holiness cannot be satisfied first, He is not love and cannot love men. He concerns with His glory rather than His creation.
That why I am so interested in Orthodoxy!! The notion of God or GOd's love is totally difference.
