In San Juan Capistrano, a Greek Orthodox parish is ready to transition out of the 'mission' stage. Accordingly, the preparations are underway, to choose the name of the location.

From the article:
Quote
After 10 years of being known as a “mission,” the Greek Orthodox church in San Juan Capistrano will select a new name Saturday from among five possibilities: St. Andrew, St. Basil, Elevation of the Cross (Holy Cross), St. Irene and St. Paraskevi.

Only $200 for a night of fellowship with the parish. Man, that's a real bargain.

In all fairness, everybody needs a building fund. The lights don't stay on because of Monopoly money.

They are in San Juan Capistrano, they could choose Saint John the Forerunner, or another Saint John, such as the Evangelist, Chrysostom, Climacus, of Kronstadt or of Shanghai and San Francisco.

There is already a mission/parish of the Antiochian Archdiocese in San Juan Capistrano, named for St. John the Theologian.
