My family was baptised this past Sunday!
« on: October 31, 2012, 02:44:38 AM »
Everything was beautiful, amazing, awe-some!  My dh, who originally came in reluctantly was more at peace than I ever would've imagined.  To sum up what was the best day of our lives:  At dinner, I was given the "honor" plate.  It's a tradition in our family to give it to someone for a special action or a "just because".  I asked why I was given the honor plate and dh replied with tears in his eyes, "Because you heard the call of God and you followed Him."  I am humbled.  Glory to God for all things!
"Beloved in Christ, if you ever despair, wondering if what you do for God matters, remember: each single act of holiness is like a stone thrown into an ocean—the ripples go forth, and we do not know whom they touch or where they end."

Desiring_Unity, thank you for that brief but touching and beautiful account of you and your family's baptism day.  May the Lord grant you many years. :)

Blessed Nazarius practiced the ascetic life. His clothes were tattered. He wore his shoes without removing them for six years.

Many years.  :)
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

I was there!  It was absolutely beautiful.  Each of the five people in DU's family shone that day, each in a different way.   Glory to God for all things!
