Pain and Distress of Heart
« on: October 21, 2012, 09:50:08 AM »
Please pray for me.  I am in a grieving process right now that is hard to leave me, that I'm unable to get over.  I wish not to share details.  I just plead that you pray for me.

God be with you, friend.

Elder Paisios of the Holy Mountain said that, when we pray for someone with pain of heart, we give God an excuse to intervene. Whereas before, He may not have intervened so as not to go against a person's freedom, when others ask Him to act out of pain of heart, He acts.

I don't think anyone ever simply gets over certain kinds of grief who has God's heart. May He carry you.

Lord have mercy.

As I proceed to handle whatever distressed me, I am hit up with yet another more dire issue, and all of these problems I'm facing cannot come at a much worse time as I am studying for the next more important part of my boards.  Please keep my sister in your prayers.  She is in a much darker place than I can even consider myself. My problems are petty compared to her's and I am worried sick about her.  And she is having a hard time listening to my suggestions, to pray, to see a priest, and most importantly, to seek professional help.  And she keeps bringing herself back into that dark place against my advice, not avoiding things she should avoid.  Please pray for her, that she may be able to battle her demons and at least see someone for her problems.

Lord, have mercy on your servant Mina, and his sister.
To God be the Glory in all things! Amen!

Only pray for me, that God would give me both inward and outward strength, that I may not only speak, but truly will; and that I may not merely be called a Christian, but really be found to be one. St.Ignatius of Antioch.Epistle to the Romans.
