None of this makes sense, let alone is funny.

To each his own, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like ^^

Luke's thinkig of becoming a better trimmed man. Not for vanity, mind you, but because a better appearance can help bring more people to the Orthodox Church, being more inclusive, although, of course, with this he does not imply that maybe the person  wasn't *already* in the Church somehow, which is a very real possibility.

And since he is all for the democratic vote, you can choose if he stays in his glorious old self or if is forced to "sell out" a bit to the Man with no sense of self-admiration whatsoever.

Old Look

Possible New Look

Tough choice. How long do we have to decide which way to vote?

If I might make a suggestion of my own, I think the motto of this thread should be "Proselytizing is too good for Catholics." (You're big on honesty, right?)

I like the new one.  The old one looks like a cross between John Lennon and the stuff of nightmares.

I'll leave it here for one day. Lovers gonna love, haters gonna hate. :)

Is this related to the beard slap thing? :) Because with intense pondering of theological words with Greek roots can also cause one to become Orthodox, without the slapping. The man below, though, is clearly still searching which Church to go to. :)

None of this makes sense, let alone is funny.

You have griped three times now on page 3 alone.  Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense or is not funny to those who do.

Yeah, freedom of speech stinks. Just because you don't agree with me, doesn't mean I was wrong, either.

This thread has had one poster for about 90% of its content. Pretty much proves my case.

This thread is giant, cyclopean heaps of fail.

See, people knew it last year.

I am now the second most frequent poster here. What does that say about Leite's comedy skills?

Touche. If I were let's say Lutheran, then I imagine I would have said that the motto of this thread should be "Proselytizing is too good for Lutherans."

P.S. It probably goes without saying (but I'll say it) that we Catholics have our faults too. I can just imagine a conversation between two Polish Catholics in 1590 or so, about whether Orthodox should be forced to become Latin, or whether it would be enough for them to come into union with Rome while keeping the Byzantine Rite.

And with two votes for the new look, none for the old, and three more for the return of Craig, the Cyclopian Critic, here is, ladies and gentlemen, Luke Warmodox 2.0!

Btw, are you Mor Ephrem on any other forums? (Just wondering so I'll know whether I'm talking to you or someone else.)

I am only on one other forum, and other than one or two posts recently, I haven't been active there in years.  But yes, there, as here, I am Mor Ephrem.

Akathist in Praise of God's Creation

Here's a few better photos for those inclined to support despoiling the planet.

Centralia, Pennslvania, a coal patch burning for decades underground and once home to several Eastern Christian parishes - Greek Catholic and Orthodox.

Only the cemetery remains accessible.
Fitting.
