I'll begin, and the next person can expand on it.

What if I woke up today but I was in the afterlife, or some sort of purgatory. Everything remains the same and in reality I was dead yesterday. How would I ever know if I was dreaming or not?

I shall meditate on this quandary.   The Great Platypus shall advise.

It is an education process for me as I learn about the psychology of spiritual apostasy. And others get the benefit of perhaps hearing righteousness for the first time.

What if those meds triggered something neurologically and those storms I've been having recently are just my synapses firing off?

There are no synapses, only non-synapses of illusion. There is no is. There is no.  All is illusion. The world is no more, or never was. [insert quasi-Buddhist terminology here]  And that is the answer and non-answer, for how can there be an answer to a non-question derived from non-permanent-being? Heraclitus was right. The river.
