Has anyone heard of this teaching? I heard from a guy that the clouds are made of God. Is this Orthodox?

I was eating a nice juicy pear and then I spat it all over myself reading this. Thanks Alveus.

Definitely not Orthodox teaching. What, God is made of water vapor and a bit of dirt? Where did this guy get this from?

Not to be flippantly dismissive, but something of such a personal nature as this is best addressed by your priest, not by anonymous yahoos on an Internet discussion forum.

To be honest I thought the OP was a joke... someone actually said that? Well, were they perhaps confused as to what the idea of God being ominpresent means?

You got his name wrong: It's St Nimbus of Cumulo, a tiny village in the Sicilian wilderness. He's a pre-schism saint.

Has anyone heard of this teaching? I heard from a guy that the clouds are made of God.
"And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him." "For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel."

It appears that the controversy over the nature of clouds was a side issue during the great Palamite debates about created vs. uncreated grace. The matter was overshadowed by the more pressing questions and was never resolved; to this day, nubes ex deus remains a viable theologoumenon.

ROFLLLL I hope the "overshadowed" wasn't unintentional because that was brilliant.
