Telling family about conversion
« on: September 12, 2012, 09:45:45 PM »
My family knows I have been going to Orthodox churches off and on. They don't know I am getting chrismated soon. I am not going to sit down and be all serious about them knowing, but if it comes up, I really want them to be ok with it and not question me too much about it.
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Cor 2:6)

Lord have mercy and congratualtions.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Yes. It's easier and goes over better for several reasons.

(please tell me how it went when you talk to them, I'm in almost the same situation.)

I was just going to keep telling them that I am going to x or y church on Sundays (because I live with them) and beyond that let them bring it up.

I told my brother, and he seemed to think that it's cool.
