It seems like I've lost two of like three or four of my closest friends and my relationship with my dad is really strained. Please pray for me.
Also. When is it okay to ask your priest to pray for you during liturgy? Is it something one just does for big illnesses?

Lord, please have mercy on William.
There should be a list you can put your name on - ask the greeter about this. Losing your closest friends and having a strained relationship with your father is more than a good enough reason.
William, are you in the process of converting (inquirer or catechumen)? If so, you will be prayed for when the Priest prepares the Lamb (Eucharist) before the service. If you will ask someone at your church, I'm sure they can show you and tell you more.
