I was looking at news stories on Syria on the Web....my heart is also broken.  How sad.  The children...oh, those poor, poor children.  Just do a search on "children in Syria" and you will be floored by how many of them are dying.

May the Lord have mercy upon all those involved in conflict.

Have mercy on those who fight to survive, have mercy upon the Syrian Church, soften the hearts of those who wish to harm others.

...simply....Lord, have mercy.

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

God have mercy on the Syrian Christians and the Alawite minorities.  May He grant Assad great strength to defend His Holy Church.

One day we will talk about why people fetishize children, but for now I'll keep on the side of humanity that doesn't think the height of life is a drinking a juice box and eating a tater tot while defecating in their pants.

St. Isaac, pray for us.  Cry

Charlie Rose: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?

Fran Lebowitz: Everything. There is not one thing with which I am satisfied.

Lord have mercy on the people of Syria.

Prov. 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Psalm 37:23 The Lord guides a man safely in the way he should go.
