This is why simple and vacillating feelings are not a good guide in any way. You can feel this or that, but actually changing takes hard work and commitment which is beyond whether you feel like doing right at any particular time. My only advice would be to stop thinking so much about yourself in the here-and-now (women, money...all the things that aren't befitting a young man of your age), and turn your mind and heart toward heavenly concerns. That's what the liturgy is meant to do, anyway.
You are right when you write that it is never too late to become better. Focus on that, and not all the self-fascination or gratification.
