On 16–19 August 2012, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will visit Poland at the invitation of His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church.

During the visit, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill will celebrate the services together with the Primate, archpastors, and clergy of the Polish Orthodox Church...

I'm glad to know that the Pope can freely visit Moscow and that Catholic minorities in Russia, such as the descendants of Poles exiled to Siberia and the Far East are guaranteed their full religious rights.

Thank you for posting this. I was initially skeptical about the visit, but I have to admit that it seems to have engendered some positive goodwill on both sides, at least judging by the commentary I heard on Radio 1 yesterday.
