« on: March 07, 2009, 02:22:37 AM »

I had this sent to me from a fellow poster (thanks buddy!!! Wink) and thought it selfish of me to keep it all to myself!  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!  Smiley

When I was in Washington D.C. about a year ago a guy was in front of the Lincoln Memorial holding one of these signs.  I totally gave him a hug.

maybe it's just my NJ individualism speaking, but I'd hesitate and walk away.

But I do give free hugs to anybody I know or trust.

Yes, I understand.  For me anyway, it's not easy to put down my defenses and just open up to a stranger's complete act of kindness.  On the other hand, I recognize that I need that sense of connectedness...even with those I don't know.  After all, I don't have so many friends that I can't use one more.   Smiley
