A close family member of mine became a Moslem  Shocked I'm not sure how I feel about this or how to even react. I feel somewhat to blame as I always question and do research on religious topics. I always throw different subjects around like who or what I think might be right. This person came to me with some questions on Islam. I answered what I could and best from the info that I had studied in my free time. I'm I to blame for this? Is this G-ds way of telling me not to question everything so much? Should I join the rest of my family in this adventurer on becoming one myself? I just don't know how to react. How would you react to news such as this?

I'd be curious what brought the person to Islam?

I mean Christian theology teaches you to love your enemies, not string them up.
Just seems "nicer".

Depends on the person's background. At first I would probably be a little disappointed that he/she did not convert/stayed in Christianity. But then since I view Islam as a heretical form of Christianity it's certainly better to be a Muslim than an Atheist or an Agnostic. Also, I feel more kinship with Muslims than certain Protestants despite being doctrinally more closer to Protestans.

Islam is a beautiful religion. Not really believable to that extent that I would convert but beautiful altogether. But then again I feel that Orthodoxy has every good thing that Islam has and even more. So I'm quite content to have Arabic Orthodox chant as my cellphone's ringtone. Grin
