Thanks everyone. The news so far while not terrible is not good based on the tests the doctors are trying to decide rather or not to do a second open heart surgery on him. There's another test to run first after the dye from the first test is out of his system. Please continue your prayers for him. Thanks

Thank you all for your prayers, some good news kinda. They're going to do a bypass on Monday. This is good because it what he and my mother want, and because the alternative would have been a second best option as a result of him not being healthy enough for the bypass.
Please continue to remember him if you would. Lord have mercy.

Another update, further testing has reveled that my father also has 60 to 70% blockage in his carotid arteries. They will tackle this once he's healed from the bypass surgery he's having on Monday. Until they go in to deal with this he's at risk for a stroke. He's in good spirits but I'd be lying to say I'm not a bit worried. I appreciate your continued prayers for him.

Thank you all again for your prayers. My father's surgery started at 8AM and he didn't get out until until close to 5 PM. It was a triple bypass and his heart was starved for oxygen to the point of being swollen, don't know how that works but as it got oxygenated again it shrunk. He had and has a lot of artery damage. They will keep him sedated all night and probably try to wake him sometime during the day tomorrow. It's gonna be a long recovery and when he done with that they tackle the cartoid arteries, but so far, so good.

My father was discharged from the hospital today, he's enjoying sitting in his own chair in his own family room. Still going to be a long road and got to take care of the carotid arteries once he's well enough but so far things are going well. Glory to God, God is good.
