Hey there, does anyone know where I can get some Arabic downloads of Orthodox hymns and prayers and stuff?  Just to let you know ahead of time, I've already milked the Eastern Radio and most of the Coptic sites for what they have.  I'm really trying to find something along the lines of Arabic set to Byzantine-style Liturgy (like the stuff they do in Balamand or in some of the monasteries in the Levant).  Anyway, if you know of any, I'd appreciate it!

J,

Try this site:

http://www.syriacmusic.com/

I'm not sure if any of the hymns are in Arabic, or are mostly liturgical Syriac.

There are quite a few nifty-sounding MP3s, although you may have to register to listen -  and I've been unable to get some tracks to play, even when registered and logged in.

A quite impresive site, though; the recordings are of good quality, and the musical settings are fascinating!

Justin, you can listen to some samples from Subdeacon Kareem's site at www.kelfar.net/orthodoxiaradio

Go to the byzantine chant page.

Rustaveli, the titles are in Syriac and so will be the hymns, though that doesn't count out the possibility of some Arabic.
