Anyone remember the T.V. series Northern Exposure?
"Sometimes when you look back on a situation, you realize it wasn't all you thought it was. A beautiful girl walked into your life. You fell in love. Or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation, or maybe just a brief moment of vanity."
"I'd rather get my brains blown out in the wild than wait in terror at the slaughterhouse."
"The richest man is the guy who has nothing."
"It's the same with white people. They cleared the forest, they dug up the land, and they gave us the flu. But they also brought power tools and penicillin and Ben and Jerry's ice cream."

There are heathens that live with more virtue than I. The devil himself believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Neither of these things truly makes me Christian.

"The Thin Red Line". I won't write quotes, because then I would have to paste whole script. Beautiful movie about life.
ADDED - but, to be ontop, I'll add at least one:
"One man looks at a dying bird and thinks there's nothing but unanswered pain. That death's got the final word, it's laughing at him. Another man sees that same bird, feels the glory, feels something smiling through it."

*mutters* context, he wants context... Redneck Zombies Ferd Mertz: "Do not... open till... Christmas!" An illiterate redneck finds a barrel of highly toxic experimental chemical warfare nuclear waste. Since he can't read he thinks the warning on the barrel says "do not... open till... Christmas". Revenge of the Nerds Alpha Betas: "Nerds! Nerds! Nerds! Nerds!" Louis: "Where are they?" Gilbert: "I think they're talking about us, Louis" Louis: "No way!" Meganerds Louis and Gilbert have just arrived at college their freshmen year and they're moving their stuff to the dorm. The jocks and popular kids are yelling "Nerds!" at them. Loius is confused because he doesn't know he's a nerd. (at the end of the movie he says he just found out he was a nerd... sort of a coming out of the closet moment) Rocky IV "I must break you." "If he dies... he dies." It's a Russian boxer, ergo he's evil. Ivan Drago or something. Steroid user as well. Oh, and he's evil. The Sandlot Ham Porter: "Hey, you want a s'more?" Smalls: "Some more of what?" Ham Porter: "No, do you want a s'more?" Smalls: "I haven't had anything yet... so how can I have some more of nothing?" Ham Porter: "You're killing me, Smalls!" S'more context? Saw VI "Look at me! When you're killing me you look at me!" A guy has 6 of his employees before him, put in a trap, and he is forced to decide which four of them will die. At the end there are two left and he decides to save the girl. Just before the gun kills the guy he says the line above. Shawshank Redemption "I've decided not to stay" The old man Brooks says this as an explanation when he commits suicide.

Police Academy "Jones. Larvell Jones. Monsignor Larvell Jones. MD."
Context: Jones telling Mahoney his name.
The Princess Bride "If you haven't got your health, then you haven't got anything." - Count Rugen
Context: The good ole count giving sage advice to the virtuous prince Humperdink.
Army of Darkness "Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the gun." - Good Ash
Context: Good Ash is about to blow bad Ash away. Raimi inexplicably cut this line (the best one in the entire movie) out of his cut.
Cannibal Women in the Avacado Jungle of Death "Oh my God, you're marinating me!" - Jim
Context: Jim, played by Bill Maher, realises that he is not being bathed by sexy ladies, but rather being marinated by some cannibals and is about to be cooked.
Night of the Living Dead 3D "When the dead walk you gotta call the cops!" - Henry
Context: Henry finally realises that there are zombies attacking his farmhouse, and that maybe calling the cops would be a good thing (he previously didn't want to call them because he grows a lot of pot and he and the local police have "an understanding")

"Who are you?" (Richard Boone, among others)
"Jacob McCandles." (John Wayne)
"I thought you was dead."
"Not hardly." (John Wayne)
From "Big Jake" which is being shown on either TCM or AMC (I can't remember which) tonight, 8/11, 8:00 p.m. (EDT). It's another John Wayne-Maureen O'Hara movie.

Wilbur: "Ed, I thought I told you to clean up your stall."
Mr. Ed: "I couldn't hear the TV with the vacuum cleaner running."
Wilbur: "Well why didn't you just use the broom?"
Mr. Ed: "I started to, but it looked so delicious that I ate it."

The Thin Red Line - "Where is it that we were together? Who were you that I lived with? The brother. The friend. Darkness, light. Strife and love. Are they the workings of one mind? The features of the same face? Oh, my soul. Let me be in you now. Look out through my eyes. Look out at the things you made. All things shining."
