Why is Cyprus in the European Union?
« on: June 25, 2012, 10:48:46 AM »
Why has the Church failed to inform it's members that the EU is corrupt and that no sensible person should vote for it?

What would Jesus do, vote for the European Union? I wonder if he would like a hat to wear and a flag to wave with the European Union theme on it as well.

And Greece for that matter. Russia seems to be doing things right, though.

I liken it to a deadly game of freeze tag
But it had not been in Tess's power - nor is it in anybody's power - to feel the whole truth of golden opinions while it is possible to profit by them. She - and how many more - might have ironically said to God with Saint Augustine, "Thou hast counselled a better course than thou hast permitted."

Many things are bad in the EU, of course,  but that is how worldly structures tend to be.
Nonetheless, it is good for Cyprus to be in the EU, rather than to face the Turks alone.

This thread (which is really nothing more than a discussion of politics that has no business here on the Convert Issues board) is now locked pending a moderator team decision on how to handle the original poster.
