Friends,

On Thursday I am finally taking the GRE so that I can apply to a PhD program. Hence, I will have no time to be posting on the forums.  I will check in and also check for reported posts if anything gets too controversial.  You will still have Bobby, Phil, John, and Pedro to assist you as well.  The reason I am posting this though is that I will not be engaging in any debate or discussion for the next week, so I don't want anyone to construe that I am ignoring anything.  I just am not going to be posting due to time constraints.

See ya all next week!

good luck, hope it went well.  standardized exams can be stressful, and sometimes we're never through with 'em.
Is your PhD program at St. Vlad's?

The exam went well!  St Vlad's doesn't have a PhD program.  I will hopefully do a PhD in Semitics at Catholic U.

Semitics = the study of Semitic languages, such as Hebrew, Arabic, and Syriac Smiley

The latter two would certainly come in handy for use in the Oriental Orthodox forum, as well as to do research on the OO'dox and check out some of the other OO'dox websites and forums on the net.

Sounds like it will be quite an undertaking - how long will you have to be studying this until you get your phd?
