Only since a week ago.

I saw a bunch of ponies on Know Your Meme, I looked up some episodes on Youtube, and it was all over. True story. It happens. (language)

Pretty much the same here, except it happened to me about 2 months ago. Me and my fiancee decided to watch a few episodes after we laughed at the memes. I was shocked how much we loved it. I actually went to a brony get-together a few weeks ago.

Who's your favourite pony?

They're all growing on me, but so far Rainbow Dash. Who's yours?

I think—especially for a kid's cartoon—all the characters are actually complex and that's why the show is so interesting to adults. They wanted to make a show that was interesting enough for parents to watch with their kids, and did such a good job that now adults are fans in their own right. That has to be cool for the creators of the show to see.

I have a preference to Applejack, since I am currently residing in the southern US and the people here are very much like her. But Rainbow Dash's personality is like mine, so I also like her. But I also like them all, it is hard to choose, each one has something extremely likeable about them.

I know Lauren Faust, while not expecting it to be so big amoung young men my age, has embraced it. She has so many cultural references in the show, and especially season 2, always has something for the bronies. It's kind of cool because she actually goes online and talks with the bronies and defends them if any jerk says something about them.

I was watching some old episodes of Animaniacs recently, and the cultural references in cartoons are fun, even when they become dated. Heck, even Sesame Street is full of them. Just the fact they put them in there as a hat-tip to adults is cool. I'm not into season 2 yet, but I did skip ahead and watch the Derpy episode. I LOL'd. I'm happy I'll get to see season 3 develop live.

Kudos to Lauren Faust for embracing fans, and also to Hasbro for not being copyright Nazis and embracing the Internet. They're smart to realize that young adults with disposable income are most likely to spend money on merchandise, and most young adult fans discover the show online. (It's too bad more members of the entertainment industry don't realize this.)

Same thing with Freakazoid, my word did that cartoon  have so many cultural references in it.

Lauren Faust also created Power Puff Girls, which is a hilarious show. I mostly just watched it with my sister, but they made it interesting for me.

It is genius for them to put the episodes on youtube. It really is the reason it is such a hit in this age group.

Lauren Faust also created Power Puff Girls, which is a hilarious show. I mostly just watched it with my sister, but they made it interesting for me.

I've never seen that show. Didn't have cable when it was on TV. But I did note the similar graphical styles of the two shows. I very much prefer that to the doughy-looking ponies on the older versions of the series.

MLP is the only TV show I've had any interest in since House ended. It's the first cartoon I've had any interest in since I got tired of watching Animaniacs on DVD. (I was hopeful about the Mr. Bean series but it was awful.) I'm really not impressed with most cartoons in the past few years, although I haven't really made a huge effort to check them out either.

In conclusion,
